Due to the fact that it is up to the player when the character dies, these rules are in place.
Minimum breeding age: 2 years
Maximum breeding age: 7 years
Litters in Summer: 1-6 pups
Litters in Spring/Fall/Winter: 1-3 pups
Rape Litters: 1-2 pups
*extra pups can be purchased for ten points from the reward store, but you must have staff approval
Each player can only play 4 pups under the age of 1. This is to ensure the population does not get wildly out of control.
Rape Policy. We are very strict about Rape. Therefore any litters that are a result of rape may only have a max of 2 Pups. Characters involved in rape may only be raped/rape ONCE per year.
Pup Death: It's not often an entire litter lives to see adult hood. That can also affect the game. If pups haven't been adopted by the time the birthing takes place the players of the parents are expected to have them killed off in some fashion, stillborn, disease, predator, etc. It's sad, yes, but no one should ever feel pressured to adopt a pup unless they really want one. Pups die, it's sad but it's a possibility you should be aware of.
NOTE REGARDING PUP ACTIVITY: If you adopt a pup you must be active! If you fail to keep a pup active the parents have the right to take it back and adopt it out to someone else.
